Klay Thompson broadcasts her boat trip live on the SF Bay to Warriors parade, immediately loses her hat

RIP to Klay’s hat, seen here in happier times.
Adam Glanzman/Getty ImagesKlay Thompson once again proved why he’s the fanciest man in the NBA by happily livestreaming his boat ride across the San Francisco Bay to the Warriors parade – and almost immediately losing his hat .
Thompson, an avid boater who has spoken widely about his love for the bay, travels regularly in his Axopar 37 Cabin boat to Chase Center. It’s a trip he chose to take earlier this morning to head to the Warriors parade on Market Street later today and, to celebrate the occasion, he went Instagram live from the water .
Unfortunately for Klay, the sea is a cruel mistress, and within the opening minutes of his livestream, the wind blew his Warriors championship cap away.
“Oh no!” he shouted as the wind whipped the boat. “I lost my hat!”
Luckily, Thompson had a backup plan, equipping himself with a cartoonish captain’s hat instead. He then took to his stream to praise the fallen hat.
“Hats off RIP,” he said. That’s why you need to tie it tightly. The captain’s hat is good for that. Damn it. Aw, that hurts. It hurts.
If you’re cruising the San Francisco Bay today and spot a Warriors 2022 Championship Hat floating in the water, please pick it up. On the one hand, it is important to keep the bay clean. And two, Klay really seems to want it.
